Five Pillars.
Every product on HealthSurgePro receives a transparent HSP Score out of 10 — calculated from five weighted pillars, published in full alongside every review.
No brand can pay to improve a pillar score. The formula is fixed before we know whether a product has an affiliate relationship with us.
Pillar 1: Ingredient Quality (30%)
We assess whether active ingredients are present at clinically effective doses, whether the form used (e.g. magnesium glycinate vs. oxide) is well-absorbed, and whether proprietary blends obscure dosing transparency.
Pillar 2: Scientific Evidence (25%)
We weigh the quality and quantity of peer-reviewed research backing each ingredient — prioritizing randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses over animal studies or manufacturer-funded research.
Pillar 3: Effectiveness (20%)
Based on the dose-response relationship established in clinical literature, we estimate the realistic likelihood that a typical user experiences the claimed benefit at the dose provided.
Pillar 4: Value (15%)
We calculate cost-per-effective-dose and compare it against category alternatives, so a higher price is only penalized when it isn’t justified by superior formulation.
Pillar 5: Safety Profile (10%)
We check for known interactions, third-party contamination testing, and manufacturing certifications (cGMP, NSF, USP) — and we deduct points for any safety transparency gaps.
How the Final Score Is Calculated
Each pillar is scored 0–10, then weighted by its percentage above and summed to produce the final HSP Score, also out of 10. Every published review includes the full breakdown so you can see exactly how a product earned its score.
